Why Simulated Driver Educational Programs
The SAFETY SENSE simulated learning program was developed to help young people understand that they are NOT
"bullet proof".
After discussions with Police and many road safety experts, it was determined that developing a concept that could clearly demonstrate to 16 and 17 year olds the consequences of irresponsible driving habits BEFORE they sat in the driver's
seat, could provide a method of "communicating" to them in the technological environment in which the majority of our youth spend their time.
By utilising simulated learning, the SAFETY SENSE program reveals in a practical manner, how easy it is to have that serious crash as a result of "driver error". Our experience has shown there can be a significant "change in attitude" by the driver after undertaking the program.
SAFETY SENSE continue to conduct ongoing research to improve the concept and meet contemporary needs.
SAFETY SENSE has taken the program to many Sporting Clubs & Schools as well as other interest groups, and has also made it available to new arrivals to Australia. It assists them in understanding our local roads and the rules applied here. All with very positive results.
SAFETY SENSE is committed to Road Safety and the further development of young driver safety concepts and has a strong belief that simulated learning further enhances the many programs already in existence.
